Urgent requirement: we are hiring a head baker in Mason County, Kentucky. The job is at a busy bakery. The role involves: • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Score the top of loaves before baking • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
