Gas commissioning technician — Barnsley

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Barnsley, England. You will work on commercial and industrial sites. You should have: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Driving licence for travel between sites You will lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves.
