Vacancy available: foundry labourer (Georgia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in DeKalb County, Georgia. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
