Foundry labourer — Rensselaer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Rensselaer County, New York. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together 3+ years on the tools preferred.
