Foundry operative — Afijio

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Afijio, Oyo State. On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer ₦4,000 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
