Ideal candidate: • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes Day-to-day duties: • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
