Core maker — Colorado County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Colorado County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
