Vacancy available: we are hiring a punch press operator in Houghton County, Michigan. You will be based at a white goods manufacturing plant. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges On a typical shift you will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings.
