Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings You will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
