Rigger — South Tyneside

Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in South Tyneside, England. You will be based at a busy construction site. You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Your main tasks: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. £4,800 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
