Hoist operator — Bronx County

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Bronx County, New York. The role involves: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans Part-time with flexible hours.
