Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Lancashire, England. The job is on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Day-to-day duties: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 4+ years on the tools preferred. £2,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
