Immediate opening: crane rigger (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Hancock County, Iowa. Day to day you will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites 3+ years on the tools preferred.
