Rigging foreman — Oscoda County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Oscoda County, Michigan. Day to day you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $120 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
