Moulder wanted in Grant County

Now hiring: we are hiring a moulder in Grant County, Wisconsin. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Performance bonus on top of base pay.
