Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Tattnall County, Georgia. You will be based at a busy machine shop. The role involves set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors. Ideal candidate: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to grind and set HSS cutters At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
