Urgent requirement: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Wayne County, New York. The job is at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) Your main tasks: • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it 4+ years on the tools preferred.
