Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Columbia County, Oregon. You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Your main tasks: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
