Immediate opening: framing carpenter (Ohio)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a framing carpenter in Ashland County, Ohio. You will be based at a shopfitting company. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Own basic hand tools • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists Your main tasks: • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
