Core maker wanted in Northumberland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Northumberland County, Virginia. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
