Overlocker operator wanted in The Scottish Borders

We are recruiting: we are hiring an overlocker operator in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. The role involves: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 4+ years on the tools preferred.
