Head butcher — Lyon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a head butcher in Lyon County, Kansas. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler The role involves dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking.
