Immediate opening: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in Franklin County, Illinois. The job is at a reinforced concrete building site. You will brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb. Ideal candidate: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing Full-time with occasional weekends.
