Port container crane operator — Clay County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Clay County, North Carolina. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. On the job you will handle: • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Strong attention to safety and load limits At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
