Excavator operator — Lyon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an excavator operator in Lyon County, Nevada. You will be based in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket Requirements: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures Six days a week, one day off. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
