Immediate opening: chiller technician (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a chiller technician in Mitchell County, Iowa. You will be based in an HVAC service company. You should have: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms Day to day you will pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
