Immediate opening: turning centre operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Stockton-on-Tees, England. On a typical shift you will write and edit G-code programs at the control; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; load and index turning tools in the turret; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles. Ideal candidate: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg 3+ years on the tools preferred.
