Sample machinist — Dumfries and Galloway

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sample machinist in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. The role involves: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Part-time with flexible hours.
