Fabricator-welder — Walton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Walton County, Florida. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Six days a week, one day off.
