Fettler — Franklin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Franklin County, Massachusetts. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry You will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
