Bricklayer — Wilson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Wilson County, Texas. You will work on a new-build development. On a typical shift you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Full-time with occasional weekends.
