Fusing press operator — Bureau County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Bureau County, Illinois. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Day to day you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
