Brick and block layer — Newaygo County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Newaygo County, Michigan. Day to day you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one 4+ years on the tools preferred.
