Die-casting operator wanted in Power County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Power County, Idaho. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
