Steel fixing chargehand — Starke County

Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Starke County, Indiana. Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
