Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Marion County, Alabama. On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 2+ years on the tools preferred.
