Production welder • Baker County, Oregon

Great opportunity: we are hiring a production welder in Baker County, Oregon. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. On a typical shift you will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. What we are looking for: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
