Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork erector in James City County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing The role involves: • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations Full-time, day shift. $15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
