Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Lavaca County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Six days a week, one day off.
