Urgent requirement: power float operator (Vermont)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a power float operator in Lamoille County, Vermont. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. The role involves: • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
