Vacuum press operator — Orleans County

Join our team: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Orleans County, Vermont. You will be based at a garment factory. On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided.
