Foundry operative — McCone County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in McCone County, Montana. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Your main tasks: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale 3+ years on the tools preferred. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
