Join our team: we are hiring a pressman in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work The role involves: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Six days a week, one day off. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
