Excavator operator wanted in Roanoke County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an excavator operator in Roanoke County, Virginia. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing Day to day you will excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
