Now hiring: we are hiring a single needle operator in Gombe, Gombe State. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Day to day you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go.
