Foundry worker — Jefferson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Jefferson County, Mississippi. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Six days a week, one day off.
