Shuttering carpenter • Rock Island County, Illinois

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Rock Island County, Illinois. You will be based on a busy high-rise construction site. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Able to read formwork and structural drawings You will de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking.
