Overlocker operator • Umuahia North, Abia State

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Umuahia North, Abia State. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Part-time with flexible hours.
