Vacancy available: we are hiring a carpenter in Sedgwick County, Kansas. You will work in a cabinet-making workshop. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers On the job you will handle: • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish Full-time with occasional weekends.
