Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Prince William County, Virginia. The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
